It takes way to long to search every disc.ġ.5 Beta works perfectly with my 83+ and 89Ti. I have to use a cataloging program just to figure out what disc something's on. Yeah, I've got quite a few discs now, too. Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TI Connect v1.5 Released

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: TI Connect v1.5 Released So the only time I usually am using more than 1 GB for my personal files is when I'm working with uncompressed audio or some other task that temporarily uses a ton of disk space. but I regularly clean out my files and have a habit of burning old files I don't plan on using for a long time to CD-Rs. I've never had any problems using up all my HD space. What, I run like Disk Cleanup once a day? I never get to accumulate 6 GB of temp files in the computer. I think that when you have less disk space, there's some sort of psychological motive to be conservative and not put trash in the system. It's been one year, and I've only used 5 GB of my 40 GB hard drive. But to be fair, I have been sorta trying. Well, you're right of course I've gone through about half that in 6 months.

Seeing as how my last comp had a 2GB drive and I kept it at 500MB free I have no idea how I used all that space. I have a 100GB drive and I'm down to 15GB. You'd be surprised how fast that hard drive space goes. (Oh, and the 56 megs doesn't bother me much I just do other stuff while it's downloading, and I've got a 120 gig hard drive, so 56 megs don't mean jack.) I got it a few weeks ago.it works alright, except that DeviceExplorer doesn't work! It finds the calculator, then stops responding.*sigh* With dial up it's slower but it works everywhere - even at 33 Kbps in a older neighborhood with old phone lines not designed for data transfer but it's better than 14.4 on my Cell Phone or trying to subscribe to a wireless hotspot service like T-mobile and going to the airport to surf the net. TI was thinking that most people have upgraded from dialup.īut if you use a cable modem, DSL, or a home/office network, you can't use it when you travel, can you? I mean like at my house I have Adelphia Cable but everyone elso we know has Cox Cabe.

The download is absolutely HUGE!! What was TI thinking? This is going to take many hours to download on my 56k modem! Geez.the 'disk cost' said this would take 56mbs. Their views are not necessarily those of, and takes no responsibility for their content. The comments below are written by visitors.

You will need about 45 MB of disk space to install this latest version. Most notably, it appears that using a firewall can in some cases prevent TI Connect from communicating with a calculator. As usual, there is a long list of "known issues" that should be read through upon installation. This version is a normal release and has been updated since the beta version that was included with 84+ and 89 Titanium calculators. TI has released version 1.5 of their TI Connect software for Windows. Posted by Michael on 17 August 2004, 16:39 GMT
